Beat the Credit Crunch - Last years exchange rate applied to both properties

Beat the credit crunch!  Here’s how:

Alhama is a great value holiday.  A glass of Rioja wine is only 1.50 euros (£1.18) and you can get a main meal for as little as 5-7 euros (£3.90-£5.50) a plate.  Away from the coast, inland Spain is still much cheaper than Britain for everything, for example petrol only 1.20 euros (94p) a litre, a bottle of wine only 1.50, beer only 70 centimos a litre …

We’re offering our houses for rent at the old exchange rate – Casa Esquina, for example, instead of the old price of 300 euros/£200 – beat the crunch and stay in fantastic accommodation for our new price 254 euros/£200 for the week! Please email or call us for the new prices - we're still calculating the new exchange rate and updating the website.

The local supermarkets and the Friday market sell local fruit and vegetables, fish and meat that are really well priced so stocking up for your holiday is no problem.  In our houses we leave you cooking/olive oil, salt/pepper/herbs/spices, tinned/dried food, teas & fresh coffee, oranges for the juicer, condiments and jams, bread, eggs, wine, beer, milk, juice, chocolate, yoghurt and other stuff too dull to list, like washing up liquid and detergent ….  The tap water is fresh mountain spring water so no need to even buy bottled water …

There are two local swimming pools which are only 2 euros for adults and 1.50 euros for children for the whole day.  Each pool has an attractive grassed area with sun or shade and a little bar with drinks/food so you can easily hang out for the day.  Or you can take the cool box and a picnic and spend the day by the lake or the river at the bottom of the gorge.

At the end of one of the most beautiful walks in the area is a gorgeoous new spa with swimming pool, jacuzzi, plunge pool and steam room which is only 6 euros on Tuesdays (or 12 euros every other day) for a two hour session and next door is a great restaurant where you can lunch under the grapevines for as little as 9 euros a head including drinks.  It’s the best day out in the local area.

Complementary tapas is a tradition here and you can go out for the evening, eat your full of delicious food and only pay for your drinks.

Many of our guests have commented that they’ve been surprised at how little they’ve spent.

We can help you have the best holiday at a good price, for example:
