Casa Verde

Casa Verde has four bedrooms (two doubles, two twins), two sitting rooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, a patio and garden. This lovely, traditional village house has many original features including terracotta flooring and wooden beams. There are two log burners for getting cosy in winter evenings – one in the downstairs sitting room and one in the kitchen – and fans available for the summer.

Casa Verde has satellite TV and now has free wireless high speed internet access so why not bring your laptop? We also provide lots of books, CDs, videos and DVDs.

Perfectly located on a traditional street at the top of historical Alhama, only five minutes from the main square of historical Alhama, Casa Verde is a great base for your holiday.

Casa Verde is a super village house which has been beautifully restored to make it a wonderful "home from home" for your holiday. The house and garden provide 200m sq of accommodation - so plenty of room to spread out and relax.

At the top of the house the main bedroom has a sloping wooden beamed ceiling, skylight and wooden floorboards. The next bedroom is a twin room, again with sloping wooden ceiling, wooden floorboards and a lovely view of the square. Downstairs, next to the bathroom, is another twin room and the second double bedroom which has it’s own log burner, balcony overlooking the garden and ceiling fan. The upstairs shower room is finished in a Moroccan style with mosaic floor and “rainwater” shower. This floor also has a sitting room with antique terracotta floor, wooden beamed ceiling and balcony overlooking the flower beds and roses in the square opposite. The ground floor has a cosy sitting room; cool and protected from the heat in the summer and with the log burner for cosy winter evenings. Next door is a bathroom, again with handmade mosaic floor. And finally, the kitchen/dining room is at the back of the house; again protected from the heat by 2ft thick walls.

The kitchen leads onto the patio which has a BBQ, tomato and pepper plants and seating/dining for 8.  Downstairs is a lovely terracotta tiled, walled private garden with flower beds - fig trees, honeysuckle, ivy, mimosa and rose bushes.  The garden gets loads of sun all day but you can find a shady spot too.

There's also a shower for cooling down, paddling pools and a hosepipe for the kids to play with and comfortable loungers for catching the rays.
